The first meeting of the Energy Modelling Forum – Europe (EMP-E) took place in May
(17th/18th) at the EC headquarter in Brussels.
The meeting was initiated by the European funded REEEM project (http://www.reeem.org/) and brought together several institutions involved in energy system modelling.

J. Kropp as EUCalc coordinator provided a keynote and made clear that society – energy system
modelling needs more transparency and should emphasize more on trade-off and synergy
analysis (solution screening) if carbon relevant decisions are being taken in differen sectors.

J. Kropp’s presentation at the event can be accessed here.
