SEE Change Net and Climact with the support of our Advisory Board member Ulrike Lunacek – ex EU MEP and Vice President of the EU Parliament – gave a sneak preview of the EUCalc model’s potential at a meeting co hosted by MEP Theresa Griffin (S&D), Javor Benedek (Greens EFA), Cornelia Ernst (European United Left–Nordic Green Left) and Dario Tamburrano (Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy Group) in the EU Parliament on the 26th of June.

The key issues discussed were: whether the model will be able to show Energy Poverty, Just Transition, Health Impacts, consumer choices Vs citizens behavioural patterns, inclusion of accession countries and third countries in model.

We also opened dialogue in one on one meetings with MEP Dalli on how air quality/transport issues are treated in the model and MEP Kappel’s office on how industry issues are treated in the model as well as meeting with ITRE Advisors from several groups.
