The challenge for the EU to move towards a carbon-neutral society results in increasing concern about how this can be achieved. The significant reduction of our economy’s greenhouse gas emissions, over the coming decades, becomes imperative. But the decarbonisation will entail major changes in the way we live and do business, requiring discussion on different pathways and transition scenarios that are acceptable to the entire society.

EU-funded projects dealing with decarbonisation, among which EUCalc, met in September 2019 for the second time to discuss and exchange practices on climate change mitigation and decarbonisation from a technological, social, and economic perspective.
